MAN SERIOUSLY HURT.

(By TelegTapb.—Own Correspondent.) WAIUKU, this day.

A had' accident which occurred this morning near Waiuku resulted in a young man named John Scott sustaining serious injuries.

Scott, who is an employee of the Franklin Power Board, and "is about 24 years of age, was riding a bicycle along he Waititi road, about a mile from Waiuku. when he came into collision with a motor car driven by Mr. Tucker. Scott, who was badly injured, was promptly taken to the Franklin Memorial Hospital, where it was ascertained that his left leg was badly smashed, and his left arm fractured. He was also suffering from concussion of the brayi. As his condition was seen to be very serious it. was decided •tq send the sufferer by ambulance to the Auckland Hospital.
