FEILDING CATTLE FAIR.
FEILDING, Friday, i . A pen of Hereford bullocks realised £21 # a bead at the annual cattle fair to-day, when over 2000 head were yarded. The demand for all classes of beef cattle was ,'r keen and buyers were present from all provinces of the North Island. Hereford ana Polled Angus bullocks brought £17 : to £18; fat cows, £8 15/ to £15; best heifers, £15 2/; other heifers, £7 to £12 11/; store two-year-old Polled Angus steers made £9 10/ to £9 16/j three-year-old Shornhorn steers, £8 18/ to £10 13/; other two-year-old steers, to £6 11/ ; threeyear steers. £5 2/ to £8 18/; Polled Angus cows, £9 2/; heifers, £7 7/6; Hereford vows , £7 4/; cows in calf, £7; store cows, £5 7/6 to £9 15/6; bullocks, £8 10/ to £12. The .dairy cattl entered were lacking in quality, consequently prices were 7 down. Good two-year heifers made up to £7 17/; Friesian heifers, £5 15/; two- . year-old Jersey heifers, £4 6/ to £6 4/6.
