LONOON WOOL SALES
Messrs. Dalgetv and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated 27th inst.:—
YV 00l Sales.—The wool sales continue with better competition. Sellers are meeting the market more freely, but withdrawals iire still heavy. As compared with closing rates at last series, average greasy Merino 10 per cent lower, good grcaiey Merino 10 per cent lower, greasy Merinos, inferior and faulty 10 to 15 per cent lower, scoured Merino 7Vi to 10 per cent lower. Other descriptions as already quoted. LONOON TALLOW PRICES. I he New Zealand Loan and Mercantile have received the following cable from their London house, under date 26th in ;t.': — ri.llpw.-VVe quote present c.i.f. and e. values to following descriptions of tallow: Fine mutton. 43/ per cwt; good beef, 43/ per cut; mixed, 41 3. Market firm. FROZEN MEAT. Messrs. Dalgetv and Company have received rollowinsr cable from their London house, dated September 27:— Irozen Meat. —The market for Xew Zealand lamb is weaker; demand moderate, ihe market for Xew Zealand mutton ie weak; demand limited. RABBIT SKIN SALES. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 27. At the rabbit skin sales there was a good demand for hatters, although Americans showed little interest, at par to five per cent above July rates. The advance was most noticeable in low grades. There was a keen demand for Australian furriers, particularly incomings at a 5 per cent advance. New Zealand's were somewhat neglected at unchanged rates. Best thinpelted winters sold on a parity with recent c.i.f. quotations. CHICAGO WHEAT VALUES. (Received 10 a.m.) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) CHICAGO, September 27. Wheat for delivery in September is quoted at Chicago at $1.15% per bushel For December delivery the rate is $1.18%. for Mar Hi 5>1.*22% and for May $1.25^4. BRADFORD TOPS. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, September 27.
