DEFRAYING THE COST.
EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE.
REQUEST FOR £200
It is proposed to send three delegates from Auckland to the Empire Educational Conference to be held in Vancouver next Easter. The cost will be approximately £200 per delegate and a request was before the City Council last evening for a donation of £200. If that sum were allocated other bodies, it was stated, would find the balance.
The question was referred to the Finance Committee for report.
