CHAMPIONSHIP ISSUE.

TRAMWAY'S HARD TASK.

ONEHUXGA OUT TO WIN.

The last game of last season was a memorable tussle between Onehunga and Tramways on the Manukau ground for the Falcon Cup, and after putting up a most stubborn -opposition the home side was defeated by a. narrow margin. Stranjrely enough, Onehunga play their last match of the present season against their old rivals, and great importance attaches to the match. Anything but a win for the corporation side will seriously jeopardise their chances of paining the championship. Onehunga are just as determined to carry off the verdict to-morrow as they were on the occasion referred to last year, and the result is mire to be a thrilling encounter from first to last.

The curtain-raiser will bring Y.M. and Shore together in a championship contest, and while the result cannot affect the competition, both teams have old scores to wipe off, and the game is certain to be very willing. On the Domain Ponsonby, running neck-and-neck for the title, meet Northcote, and the result is anything but a foregone conclusion.
