WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
SHERMAN—GOW. The marriage of Mona Christina, youngest daughter of Mr. John Gow, of Totara North, to Leslie George, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Sherman, of Totara North, was celebrated at St. David's Church, Khyber Pass, yesterday afternoon. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. John Gow, wore a maize silk crepe fleuri. The skirt was made in two tiers, and bound with blue silk. A wide larkspur blue velvet sash was swathed round the jvaist, and fell in long bow and ends at one side. The lace straw hat had a cluster of blue flowers at one side. The bride carried a shower bouquet of pastel tinted flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Myrtle Gothorpe, was gowned in wistaria mauve crepe de chine, the skirt having motifs of green and beige, and wore a black hat with mauve and apricot, flowers, and also carried a bouquet to tone. The Rev. I. Bertram performed the ceremony. Mr. Doyle was best man. A small wedding tea was served at Mrs. Rayner's, Rosebank Road. Avondale, the table being daintily arranged in various spring blooms.
