BACK TO GAOL.
FOR SIX MONTHS.
HABITUAL CRIMINAL'S LAPSE.
Because he had failed to keep to the straight path when he had been given, a chance, Henry Gladstone Glover (40) was sent to gaol by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court to-dav.
Glover admitted that he attempted, to obtain £15 from Robert Duniparc, and that lie obtained goods worth £1 10/ and £6 10/ in money from William John Wilson, grocer, by means of valueless cheques.
"I don't think he got a great deal as the result of the valueless cheques he cashed, but Glover has a long list of previous convictions and is at present on license," eaid Chief Detective Hammond. "Yes, I see by hie list that he was declared an habitual criminal, too," said Mr. Hunt, who fixed Glovers term of imprisonment at six months.
