TAIHAPE, Tuesday. The annual meeting of the Taihape Lawn Tennis Club wits held last evening, when Mr. T. C. Kincaid presided. Last year's competition winners were announced a* follows : —lndies' handicap singles. Miss K. Wapp; ladies' championship singles, Mis.s R. Wrapp; men's bandicup singles, J. Bradley : men'? championship singles, R. Henriuks: combined, doubles, Mrs. Ongley and Frank l>arvill. The election of ollicers for the ensuing season resulted as follows : —Patron, Mr. W. S. Glenn. M.l*.; president. Mrs. Neagle, pro tern.; vice-president, Mr. J. T. Duncan : hon. secretary. Mr. R. Moore: lion, treasurer. Mr. R. C Ongley ; executive committee, Miss T. 1-rickinson, Messrs Darvill, V. Reece, Christonseu, H. F. 9ade«. and Young; hop. auditor. Mr. C. Masters. The official opening lias been arranged for Saturday. October 13. THE PAEROA CLUB. PAKROA, Wednesday. ; At the fifth annual meeting of the Paeroa Lawn Tenuis Club, the president, Mr. S. J. Hedge, presided. The report showed μ satisfactory increase in the membership, which now stood at 82. resulting in an addition of £30 from subscriptions over the ligure tor the previous year. The club had competed successfully in grade competitions, and was well represented in the Thames Valley Association's championship finals. There was a surplus of £152 of assets over liabilities.

The following officers were elected : Patron. Mr. W. Marshall ; president. Mr. S. J. Hedge : vice-president, Mr. C. N. O'Nell; club captain. Mr. H. Thorp; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. P. Grant; committee. Misses 11. Taylor, V. Shand, J. Ellis. Messrs. D. G. McMillan, G. Masters, F. Thorp, W. J. Simpson, J. E. Insley; delegates to the Thames, Valley Association, Messrs. Hedge, Grant, McMillan and H. Thorp: auditor, Mr. H. IT. Bray.

It was decided to recommend the Thames Valley Association to consider the limiting of competing teams to six men and siiladies.
