COUNTY CLERKS.
DOMINION INSTITUTE FORMED.

WELLINGTON, Wednesday,
About 70 delegates from all parts of both islands attended the inaugural meeting of county clerks of New Zealand to-day, when it was unanimously decided to form an organisation to ,be known as the New Zealand Institute of County Clerks. The Dominion' was divided into seven district branches as follows: — Auckland, 30 counties; Taranaki, 10; Wellington, 21; Hawke's Bay, 14; West Coast, 8; Canterbury, including Marlborough, 29; Otago and Southland 15. Tie election of officers resulted: President, Mr. F. C. Perry (Waitomo); vicepresidents, Messrs. G. Kelby (Ashburton), and F; 11. Hudson (Horowhenual; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. W. Harding (Hawera); executive, Messrs. C. A. Cawkwell ' (Auckland), H. H. Richardson (Wellington), B. G. Signal! (Hawke's Bay), R. Ellis (Taranaki', D. J. Evans (West Coast), A. A. Readdie (Canterbury), and J. Logan (Otago and Southland); auditor, Mr. G. Derbyshire (Wanganui).
