The Auckland Rugby League is providing jerseys, but the veterans will have to find the resV of their equipment.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE
ANOTHER CHARITY DAY.
The Auckland Rugby. League Management Committee met last evening Mr George Rhodes presiding. It was decided that the challenge of Grafton Athletic (B grade champions) against EUerelie for the right to A grade elevation be played on Saturday week. The South Auckland Rugby League renewed its application for a representative game, intimating that there was a keen demand for this reciprocity before the end of the season. The niatter was referfed to the New Zealand League with favourable recommendation. Owing to bad weather spoiling the return for charity on Saturday, it was decided to make next Saturday another philanthropic day. In this connection a letter from the senior district nurse of the St. John Ambulance Association for a share in the Charity Day proceeds to assist work among the sick poor of. tho city was referred to the Charity Committee for tonsiderattou Mr. W. E. Frost, jun.. wrete ad\ising that the municipal abattoir at Westfleld. which had been playing house matches, proposed to enter, in the League club comR?', 1 ?. 101, . n Z ****** .as the Mount Wellington Club, which already had a got.d ground and dressing accommodation. The new club asked for royal blue as its colours. The chairman and secretaiy were authorised to consult the new club upon its proposals.
In connection with the Labour Day competition it was recommended that six matches or an hour each be played on Saturday, October 20, and on the 27th the semi-finals be played from 2 to 3 p.m.. and the final from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m. Special entertainment.will be provided lu the Iwilf«ouf iS* er J".V" b ?tweeji the eamf-flnal and final.; The fojlowlng clubs have nominated : Richmond, City,... VETERANS' MATCH
The annual veterans' match between Citv and Ponsonby will be played as a eurtniii raiser-to the semi-final of the Roope liooster competition at Carlaw park on Saturday.
