STRANGE EXPERIENCE
French Lady Present At Her
Own Funeral.
MISTAKEN IDENTITY.
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.)
(Received 11.30 a.m.)
PARIS, September 25.
Madame Bru, a Parisienne, had a strange experience by attending her own funeral. A body was found in the River Gironde and identified as Madame Bru, who disappeared on September 7. She was identified by means of false teeth which she had left at home and which fitted into the mouth.
The mourners had gathered round the coffin prior to carrying it to the church when Madame Bru entered. She was most angry as she had been staying with friends in the country and had read the funeral preparations in the newspapers. She upbraided her young niece, who was weeping by the coffin. The girl became so ill that she is now in hospital.
