CAMBRIDGE NEWS.
The monthly meeting of the Cambridge Branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union was held 1 on Saturday, Mrs. Feisst (president) in the chair. Eight new members were elected, and the membership of the branch now stands at 75. The branch has an excellent library, and is doing good community work in the district.
Mr. and Mrs. I.en Cubis, of Monavale, left Cambridge ' ring the week-end for the Tatuanui (Mm sville) district, where Mr. Cubis has beta appointed manager of the New Zealand itairy 'Company's new factory. On Saturday afternoon Mr. Cubis was farewelled by tl) staff of the Ilautapu factory, and presented him with a writing desk. Mr. Cubis has been manager of the Cambridge Dairy Company's Monavale Factory for the past seven years, and on Saturday evening fully 100 settlers gathered to bid Mr. and Mrs. Cubis farewell. They were presented with a valuable gramophone. Mr. and Mrs. YV. Muller, of Victoria Street, are leaving Cambridge on Thursday for a month's holiday to Western Australia.
