Tough And Damp Wheat Can Be Dried. NO INJURY TO QUALITY. (United Service.) (Received 12.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, September 24. After two years' investigation the National Research Council announces that tough and damp wheat can be dried without injury to its milling and baking qualities. One hundred and eighty Fahrenheit is the maximum safe temperature for the drying air where the grain enters.
