Anglo-French Proposals Before U.S.A. Chiefs. REPLY UNDER CONSIDERATION j
(Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Received 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, September 24. Mr. F. B. Kellogg spent an hour and a-half on Monday in conference with the Secretary of the Navy, Mr. Curtis D. Wilbur, and Admirals Hughes, Jones and Long, discussing the policy of the United States in connection with the Franco-British naval accord situation. Xo announcement has been made public but* it is said at the State Department that the draft of the United States reply to the request from London and Paris for comments on the proposals as to limitations- iontailfed the understanding that it was etill before Mr. Coolidge, and that the date when it might be sent was not certain.
