CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOUR.
SUCCESSFUL CONVENTION.
DIPLOMAS PRESENTED.
The thirty-seventh annual convention of the Auckland provincial union of the Christian Endeavour movement was brought to a successful close last evening. At the banquet of the Alumni (old Endeavourers) at the Beresford Street Congregational Hall, the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher, who presided, said that in all probability Mies Jenny Street, an officer of the British Union, who is well known in all' Christian Endeavour circles, would pay a visit to New Zealand next year. The chairman named his successor as president of the Alumni in Mr. T. Clark. The consecration rally, which brought the convention to a dose, was a memorable gathering, the Beresford Street Church being packed with the ■ young Endeavourers of Auckland. The Rev. A. S. Wilson (retiring president), Mr. G. Densem (president) and the Rev. A. W. Bean, addressed the gathering, and the Rev. Lionel Fletcher, as president of the New Zealand Christian Endeavour Union, presented diplomas, the recipients being as follow:—Full marks (100), Miss M. Clarke, Mr. O. Miles, Miss M. Whitmarsh; honours (over 90), Mr A. Taylor, Miss L. Taylor, Miss F J Hullah, Miss W. Chamberlain, Miss C E Grant, Mr. R. S. Whitmarsh, Mr. " P* Searle; passes, Mr. G. Densem, Miss V Davis, Mr. D. Upham, Mr. A. W. Skimming, Mr. H. B. Bristow.
