SHIPPING NEWS.

AORANGI ARRIVED. HATKHOLA DISCHARGING. Arrivals at Auckland yesterday included the Port Hunter, from New York, while this morning the R.M.m.s. Aorangi arrived from Sydney and the Hatkhola from the East, as well as the Pakeha from southern ports for final homeward loading. With the arrival of the Ravenscar from the Red Sea this evening, and the Antonio from Morocco, the Turakina from Liverpool, and the Maheno from Sydney to-morrow, the port will be busier than it has been for some time.

The Devon was dispatched for southern ports early this afternoon, and the Aorangi is to resume her voyage to Vancouver to-morrow morning.

LAMB STEAMER OMANA. The Northern S.S. Co. advise that the Lamb steamer Omana, with coal and hardwood from Newcastle and Port Stephens, is due at Auckland on Wednesday evening. DEVON SAILED. To continue discharge of her genera’ cargo from Liverpool, the Federal steamer Devon was dispatched early this afternoon for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and New Plymouth. MAHENO TO-MORROW. With passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney, the Union Co.’s steamer Maheno is due at Auckland to-morrow morning, and has been allotted a berth at the Queens wharf. She is to sail again for Sydney ui 11 a.m. on Friday. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels are expected to be within range of the Auckland wireless station to-night:—Antonio, Maheno, Turakina, Brynje, Vestvard, Ghana, Devon. Golden State. KAI WARBA’S ITINERARY. The Union Company’s steamer Kaiwarra has been llxed to load coal at Westport on Wednesday for Auckland. After discharge here she is to go to Newcastle to load tor Auckland. ANTONIO FROM CASABLANCA. Due at Auckland to-morrow evening, the steamer Antonio is to berth at the King’s wharf to put out the local portion of her cargo of phosphate from Casablanca. She is to complete discharge at Lyttelton. (Henderson aud Maefarlane, Ltd., agents). KITTAWA SOLD EAST. The Union Company’s cargo steamer Kittawa, which has been sold to Eastern buyers, left Wellington for Newcastle on Thursday evening. Captain Cooper is in command. Mr. Shakespeare is chief officer, and Mr. Kelly is chief engineer. PAKEHA LOADING. For final loading for Montevideo and London, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha arrived front Waikokopu this morning and berthed at the Queen's wharf. L. D. Nathan, Ltd., the local agents, expect to dispatch her for Montevideo at daybreak on Friday. THE MAUI POMARE. The Government motor ship Maui Pomare arrived at Dunedin from Apia and Niue on Saturday morning, and left there yesterday morning for Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. She is due here next Thursday night or Friday morning, and is announced to sail at 2 p.K on Saturday with passengers, mails and cargo for Norfolk. KA ITANG AT A TO WITHDRAW. To complete discharge of her cargo of Australian produce, the Union Company’s steamer Kaitangata left Wellington on Saturday afternoon for Auckland, where she is due this evening. She is to berth at the Prince's wharf, and after discharge will be withdrawn for survey. AORANGI IN PORT. From Sydney, the Union Co.’s R.M.m.s. Aorangi arrived at Auckland this morning, and berthed at the Prince’s wharf to land local passengers, mails and cargo. She left Sydney last Thursday, and experienced squally weather for the greater part of the voyage. The local office of the Union Co. announces her to resume her voyage to Suva. Honolulu and Vancouver at 11 a.m. to-morrow. RAVENSCAR DUE. An expected arrival at Auckland this evening is the steamer Ravenscar, with phosphate from Safuga Bay, on the Red Sea. She called at Wellington for bunkers and left there Saturday afternoon. On arrival, she is to berth at the King's wharf to discharge the local portion of her cargo to the agency of Henderson and Maefarlane. Ltd., returning to Wellington about the end of the week to complete discharge. PORT HUNTER DISCHARGING. From New York, the Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Hunter (Capt. C. A. Robinson), arrived at Auckland early yesterday morning and berthed at the Prince’s wharf to discharge the local portion of her cargo, amounting to about 700 tons. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin are her other ports of discharge. Leaving New York on August 24, the Port Hunter called at Norfolk, Virginia, for bunkers, and reached Colon on August 30. She cleared Balboa the following day, and experiened fine weather until last Monday, when a strong westerly gale was encountered. Boisterous conditions continued to port, and the average speed of the vessel during the last six days of the voyage was reduced from 13 knots Io 10 knots, delaying her arrival by about 24 hours. HATKHOLA ARRIVED. An arrival at Auckland this morning was the British India Company’s steamer Hatkhola (Captain H. Hobday), with general cargo from Calcutta. Rangoon, Penang and Singapore. She left Calcutta on August 11, and experienced fine weather on the voyage to Newcastle, her first port of call. After replenishing her bunkers there she went to Sydney to discharge part cargo, f'he left Sydney for Auckland at 6 p.m. on Tuesday last, and encountered squally weather and heavy rain. The local portion of her cargo is beinc discharged at the Queen’s wharf, and tho Union Company, to whom the vessel is chartered, hope to dispatch her to-morrow at 3 p.m. for Wellington. From Wellington the Hatkhola' is to return to Calcutta, via Newcastle. Sydney, Brisbane and Townsville. At the latter ports she is to load horses for the Indian Government. UNION COMPANY’S STEAMERS. The Waimea arrived this morning from Gisborne and Napier, and berthed at the Central wharf. She later shifted to the Queen's wharf, and it to return to the Central wharf to-morrow. She is announced to sail again for Gisborne and Napier at 4 p.m. to-morrow. The Wingatui arrived yesterdav afternoon from southern ports and berthed at the Prince’s wharf. She is to sail on Wednesday evening for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. The Waipiata is to leave Lyttelton tomorrow for Wellington and Auckland. The Kaimanawa, which has been barbound at Westport, was expected to leave yesterday for Wellington. Picton and Auckland. The Balls Head left Greymouth at 430 p.m. yesterday for Auckland.
