WHAKATANE RIFLE CLUB.
The second round of the competition for Mr. Cutler’s trophy was tired on Saturday, 15th inst., and resulted as under. Seven shots were fired at each 500 and 600 yards:
At the annual meeting of the Whakatane Croquet Club officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: —President, Mrs. H. F. Wilkinson ; vice-presidents, Mrs. A. C. Sutherland and Mrs. W. Baxter; committee, Mesdames Doane. Healey, Hunter, E. Law. and Hellyar; hon. secretary, Mrs. A. Shaw; green committee, Mesdames Sutherland and Bullen; selection committee, Mesdames Hellyar, Loane, Bullen. At, the Bowling Club's annual meeting the following office-bearers were elected:-— President, Mr. W. R. Sloane ; vice-president, Mr. R. W. Schofield; hon. secretary, Mr. James P. Lauder; assistant-secretary, Mr. W. G. Creeke; general committee, Messrs. W. Baxter, A. Bridger, R. J. D. Brown, C. G. Caisley, M. Ramson, and R. Salmon ; sole selector, Mr. C. W. Loane; green superintendent, Mr. R. J. D. Brown, with Mr. F. Britten as assistant.
