Dr. Parkes, of Auckland, was a passenger by the Limited express from Wellington this morning.
Mr. Harvey Turner and Mr. E. Turner were passengers to Wellington bv last night’s express. Mr. A. Harris, Mr. W. S. Glenn and Mr. A. M. Samuel, M.P.’s, left for Wellington last night.
Mr. L. Vincent (Sydney), and Mr. and Mrs. K. Kellett (New South Wales) are staying at Hotel Cargen. Mr. R. A. Singer, who has been to Wellington, returned to Auckland by the Limited express this morning. Mr. N. Andrew and Mr. L. Kennard (Wellington), and Mr. B. Morris (Marton) are at the Albert Hotel.
Hon. T. A. Weston, M.L.C., was a passenger from Wellington to Auckland by the Limited express this morning. Bishop Liston, who has been attending the Eucharistic Congress in Sydney, returned by the Aorangi this morning. Sir Benjaijjiy and Lady Fuller arrived in Auckland by the Aorangi from Sydney this morning. They are at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. Justice Frazer, president of the Arbitration Court, arrived from Wellington yesterday. He is staying at Hotel Cargen. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Loise!. of Cisliorne, returned to New Zealand l.y the Aorangi from Sydney thi morning.' They are at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. G. A. Kissiing left for Wellington by the Limted express last, evening to join the Meunganui, which leaves for Sydney to-morrow.
Mr. H. C. Thomas, manager for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, of Wellington, was a passenger by this morning’s Limited express from Wellington. Mr. C. F. Eskell, manager of the Universal Film Co., Wellington, and Mrs. Eskell, are visiting Auckland. They are staying at the Grand Hotel. The Rev. Edward Hawkes arrived in Auckland last evening, and is staying at Hotel Cargen. He leaves by the Aorangi to-morrow on his return to America. Mr. and Mrs. W. Tittar, Mr. J. Gresham and Mr. N. Patterson (Hamilton), Mr. T. C. Miles (Wellington) and Mr. H. Taylor (Sydney) are at the Star Hotel. The Maori delegates to the recent Eucharistic Congress in Sydney, led by Mita Taupopoki, of Rotorua, returned to New Zealand by the Aorangi this morning.
Major-General R. Young, General Officer Commanding New Zealand Military Forces, was a passenger from Wellington by the Limited express this morning.
Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Parsons, of Hawke’s Bay, who have been on a trip to Australia, were passengers by the Aorangi this morning. They are at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. D. Ardell, of the Department of Internal Affairs, who has been in Auckland in connection with the visit of the trans-Tasman airmen, left for Wellington by train last evening.
Air-Marshal Sir John Salmond, who arrived in Auckland by the Aorangi from Sydney this morning, is at the Grand Hotel. He is accompanied by SquadronLeader R. M. Drummond.
Dr. W. Robertson, of Gisborne, was medical officer during the voyage of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line’s steamer Fort Hunter, which reached Auckland from New York yesterday morning. Mr. and Mrs. C. Reese and Mr. G. Turner (Sydney), Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Burtensiiaw (Hamilton), Mr. Wallace Cook (Palmerston North), Mr. S. C. Carter (Te Aroba) and Mr. F. T. Cuthbertson (Te Puke) are at the Central Hotel.
Mr. John W. Cook, genera) secretary of the Y.M.C.A. for the United States, and Mrs. Cook, who have been visiting Sydney and Melbourne, are through passengers for Vancouver by the Aorangi, which arrived in Auckland from Sydney this morning. Staying at the Grand Hotel are Mr. J. G. Farrell (Melbourne), Mr. C. D. Colling. Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. P. Clubb, Mr. and Mrs. W. 11. Cattell, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Cleary and Mr. R. C. Sceman (Sydney). Mr. J. H. Starley (Coventry, England), Mr. and Mrs. H. Guthrie (Western Australia), Mr. C 4. L. Lyon (Ceylon), Mr. W. J. H. Sedgley (Christchurch), and Mr. James Jenkin (Masterton).
