AUCKLAND SOCIETY. The Auckland Racing Pigeon Society flew its second race of the old bird season from Te Awamutu, in boisterous weather. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 11.46 a.m. and after a hard fly the winner proved to be Mr. A. Alexander’s r c p c Strawberry. Milham’s h c h Caprice. NORTH SHORE CLUB. The North Shore Club contested a race from Ohakune on Saturday, a distance of 186 miles. It was boisterous weather. Mr. E. AVALON CLUB. The Avalon Club flew a race from Ohakune, an airline distance of 186 miles. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 9.22 a.m. in showery weather, and Mr. L. Lambic’s blk c Black Knight homed to its loft at 2.45 p.m., scoring an easy win. Results : — Mr. L. Lambie's blk c Black Knight, 998yds per minute 1 Messrs. ELLERSLIE CLUB. The Ellerslie Homing Pigeon Club flew a race from Hunterville on Saturday in boisterous weather, which resulted in a very hard fly. Only five lofts clocked in. Results are: — Mr. Porter’s r c p c Tasman, 796yds per minute 1 Mr. Wilson’s b b c Bluefire, 792yds per minute - Mr. Heughe’s b c c Romany Lass, 790yds per minute 3 Mr. Ching’s, 786yds; Messrs. Irving and Don’s, 785yds. Seventy-eight birds representing eleven lofts competed. ONEHUNGA CLUB. The above club flew their fifth race of the old bird series from Blenheim, an airline distance of 322 miles. Results: — Mr. W. Sargent’s b c h Rosella. 987yds 1 Mr. A. Langton’s b c c Asleep, 983.7yds 2 Messrs. F. Wilson and Son’s b c h Motley, 983yds 3 Also flew: Mr. N. Paddy’s m h Ramona, 951yds; Messrs. Taylor and Leng, 893yds; Mr. J. Wallace, 888yds; Mr. V. Carden, 839yds; Mr. F. Glass, 339yds; Messrs. R. Prentice and Son, 331yds. Forty-three birds competed, representing eleven lofts. MANUNUI CLUB. The above club flew a race from Blenheim. The birds were ’ liberated in calm weather, but met with very rough weather on the way. This race is the first stage for the Dunedin birds. Results: — Mr. D. Andrews’ Black and White, 1145.9yds 1 Mr. R. Patterson’s Message boy, 1142.3yds 2 Mr. D. Wilson’s Star Salute, 1141.8yds 3 Also flew: Mr. J. Langwell’s Jack W., 1139.9yd5; Mr. J.
