PIGEON FLYING.
PONSONBY PIGEON CLUB. The Ponsonby Pigeon Flying Club flew the first race of the second series from Te Awnmutu. an airline distance of S 6 miles. The birds encountered very rough weather on the iourney to Auckland, which accounts for the low velocity recorded. The winning bird. Blue Flash, the property of Mr. Joe Davies, did the journey in 3 hours 26 minutes, with a velocity of 734 yards per minute. Results :—
