AIRMEN’S FUTURE PLANS.
AMERICA BY STEAMER. RETURN TO AUSTRALIA. After their return to Sydney by air from Blenheim, Squadron Leader Kingsford Smith and Flight-Lieutenant Ulm will spend a few weeks in Australia before proceeding to America by steamer from Sydney. One of their first acts on return to the United States will be to visit and personally thank Mr. G. Allen Hancock, their financial backer, who, as a token of friendship and as a tribute to their wonderful flight across the Pacific, made them a gift of the Southern Cross.
Smith and Ulm will spend some time in the United States, and then return to Sydney, where, they will ship the Southern Cross to lijnolulu. Here they will be joined by Messrs. T. H. McWilliam (radio operator) and H. A. Litchfield (navigator), and in the famous monoplane the quartet will fly to Oakland, California. Probably a tour of the United States will follow.
