Miss Jerome , Spencer, honorary organiser of the Women's Institute-in-New Zealand, is "at -present visiting Auckland in con nectlbtl with .the annual meeting of the Federation of the Auckland Province, which takes place next week. Thie movement- amongst tho women living in the country grows apace, for i there : ar» nowi fifty-one institutes organised in New Zealand. They extend 'from Whangarei In the north to Southland, and constitute a link between the women k| distant > places, whose only hope of'getting together for a little change of mental atmosphere, lies in forming ail', institute in the country districts. Miss Spencer left Napier on the <Hh, and -has visited Rongotea, 30* miles from Palmerston North, Inglewood, Te Awamutu,' and Waingaro.
