SHOPS AT NEWMARKET. PRICE AGGREGATES £60,000. A property deal involving the sale of twelve shops at Broadway, Newmarket, has been completed, the aggregate price being in the vicinity of £60,000. The area is in two sections, one on each side of the Rialto Theatre, the total frontage to Broadway being 172 feet. There are seven shops on one section of the area, having a total frontage of 100 feet to Broadway, and a depth of 195 feet to Osborne Street. The other section of the area has a frontage of, 72 feet to Broadway, with a depth of Oft feet. There are five shops on this main frontage. The buyers of this section are Mr. and Mrs. A. Stormont, while a syndicate has acquired the other section. The leases of the property will expire in 1930, when it is proposed to build modern premises. The sale was conducted by Messrs. Paul Hansen and Son in conjunction with Mr. G. Baker.
