Amid the cheers of a big crowd the Niagara sailed on Wednesday with the Australian Scottish party, the New Zealand bowlers and Lord Lovat aboard. The Australians sang favourite old songs to the onlookers and were given a great send-off. The ship is carrying 479 passengers and a cargo of 3700 tons, containing apples, onions, salmon and lumber, N.Z. BOWLERS SPLIT. SOME TO VISIT 'FRISCO. (United Service.) (Received 11.30 a.m.) VANCOUVER, September 19. A party of 23 of the New Zealand bowlers departed by the Niagara and the remainder are going south to San Francisco where they will depart in a fortnight after games there. The president of the New Zealand players, Mr. J. W. Hardley, at a banquet in their honour, invited the British Columbia bowlers, to pay a return visit to New Zealand. NEW ZEALAND BOWLERS. IN WESTERN CANADA. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) VANCOUVER, September 19. The New Zealand bowlers yesterday defeated Vancouver rinks by 165 points to 138.
