TOWN BOARD ELECTIONS.
BEING HELD TO-DAY. CONTESTS IN EIGHT DISTRICTS. I The biennial elections of'members of \ town boards are being held to-day. In I the vicinity of Auckland there are eight I boards, and in each case, as the number of candidates exceed the Vacancies, •an election ia necessary. There are seven vacancies in each board. Tiie districts in which elections are being held ace: Glen Eden, Pa pa toe toe, Henderson, Howick, Manurewa, J\ T >ew Lyim, EHerslie, and Papakura. "At Glen Eden . sad Papatoetoe there are 15 aspirants for office, at Henderson and Howick 14, at Manurewa, New Lynn and Ellerslie 10, and at Papakura there are nine candidates for the seven seats. The polls will close at 1 p.m. in each district.
