■ -— i HAMILTON PROMOTIONS. MR. E. H. BOYD CHIEF P.M. AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. With a record of rapid promotion since he first joined the service as message boy in 1890, Mr. R. H. Boyd, chief postmaster at Hamilton, has beeu transferred to possibly the highest executive position in the Department, namely, that of chief postmaster at Wellington. Mr. Boyd came to Hamilton in 1917, acted for two years as a clerk, and was then promoted to be postmaster at Morrinsville. Later lie was transferred to Thames. He has been chief postmaster at Hamilton since May, 1925. He is a married man, and he is 55 years of age. His successor will be Mr. W. C. A. Mathieson, of Napier. Mr. D. C. P. Hamlin, telegraph supervisor at Hamilton for three years, has been transferred to a similar position at Napier.
