BREWER KIDNAPPED.
Big Ransom For Canadian By U.S. Thugs. POLICE UNSUCCESSFUL. (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) NEW YORK, September 18. Mr. Samuel Low, president of the Carting Brewing Company, of London, Ontario, was kidnapped at Detroit. He is now being held for ransom of £7000. The police unsuccessfully attempted to trap the kidnappers. CARD PLAYERS HELD UP. BANDITS LED SY WOMAN. (United Service.) ' NEW YORK, September 18. Three bandits, led by a woman, all of them being armed, held up 12 persons who were playing cards, collected £400, and escaped. One of the victims of the robbery was a policeman. He was off duty and was not armed.
