MINE MANAGERS , REPORTS. Lucky Shot.—The drive north on the foetwall dropper from the bottom of No. 2 winze hag beeu extended 10 feet; The face H» now out 25 feet from th« winze. Although no picked stone ha* been secured, colours of gold are visible In the ore, which is very heavily mineralised. During tlie coming week I intend driving on the main reef sooth to connect with No. 1 winze. This will Improve the ventilation,, and, so far as developments have gone in this direction, it has every appearance of opening up a large block of high-grade ore. Moanataiari. —During the week thefollowing work bas been carried ont: —-Reef over i buck of drive: This lias been carried throughout to the main air rise and a break came across the face, and no quartz has been Keen, but we know that the reef is in the footwall. To secure the main rise we bad to leave the quartz. We started .to rise to-day for another stope over where the' (ticked stone was secured. ' No quartz •has been broken since last Saturday. Crosscut : After having the survey plotted, and after consultation with Mr. E. F. Adam*, I have decided to change the course of the crosscut. We will be able to carry a reef formation along with us for a considerable distance, and at the present time it is making more quartz. In my opinion this formation is the same reef that all tfcf whizes nave been stink on, and the Cambria reef Is well ahead of us. Albumlβ. —The manager reports that the drire north on the hangingwall branch of toe Orlando reef has been driven 7ft, a total of 235 ft from the'eentre of main crosscur West.
