PRICES GO LOWER. FIVE TO TEN PER CENT. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, September 18. The wool sales have opened, with prices showing live to ten per cent decline. WITHDRAWALS HEAVY. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, dated September 18:— Wool Sales.—The sales opened, with a large attendance and fair selection. Competition was fairly animated but irregular. Withdrawals heavy. As compared with closing rates of last series. Merino to 2d lower; scoured Merino, 2d to 3d lower; greasy half bred, to 2d lower; greasy crossbred, fine, l%d to 2d lower; greasy crossbred, medium and coarse, Id to VAd lower; scoured crossbred, 2d to 3d lower; elipe, 2d to 2%d lower.
