WANGANUI NEXT.
CHOICE, OF LANDING GROUND. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") WANGANUI, this day. Major Wilkes, accompanied by the Mayor and council officials, made a comprehensive inspection this morning of all available landing grounds for the airmen on their return trip from Auckland. In every instance, except the Jockey Club's grounds at Westmere, they were found to be unsuitable. Major Wilkes is conferring with another airman this afternoon, and it is highly probable that the Westmere grounds will bo selected.
