MONCRIEFF AND HOOD.
BASELESS HUMOUR CURRENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Rumours have been current in the Nelson district that a party of surveyors had found the aeroplane Aot-e----aroa and the bodies of Captain Hood and Lieutenant Moncrieff, in the vicinity of the Franz Josef Glacier. - Special inquiries have been made by the Tourist Department, to which the matter was referred. The Department advises that there is nothing in the rumours. TE AROHA INVITATION. (L'.y Tck—raijU.—Own Correspondent.) TE AROHA, this day. In response to a request by the Chamber uf Commerce, the Mayor, Mr. K. Coulter, has dispatched a telegram to the trans-Tasman airmen, them to visit T e Aroha and be enter' tuined at a civic dinner on their return journey from Rotorua.
