COMING STRUGGLE ON RUSSIAN FRONT.

ENEMY'S PREPARATIONS FOR NORTHERN ATTACK - EARLY THAW SUBMERGES WHOLE COMPANIES. BOATS USES TO SAVE THE ARTILLERY. v. (Received 1Z.3 a.m.) - LONpON, March 5. The "Observer's" Pctrograd correspondent reports that a curious tremour exists in the North Russian front, as if in anticipation of a coming struggle. German aircraft are incessantly reconnoitring, and many troop's are in motion behind the enemy's lines, while big hospital and ambulance preparations are being made. Constant outbursts of artillery fire along the Dwina show a general watchfulness. The situation of the Germans on tho Dwina is unenviable. An early thaw submerged whole companies, and engineers had to be brought from Germany to drain the swamps and rescue isolated units. _ Flotillas of boats were utilised to save the artillery.
