The sis city ledges, together with the Pukekohe and Clevedon branches, took part in the outing, ■triiile representatives were- present from fcjudred societies. An attractive sports programme was carried to a successful issue, tiie principal event of which, the 1.0.0. F. Cup, was "-won by Bro. Gribble Ixxlge), with Bro. Cronin lAlpha Juvenile : Lodge) 2nd. while tie tug-cf-wax was won fey die Star of Eden team. The morning Tras devoted to races for β-e ladies and —children, and a large consignment of toys wee provided, nearly every child receiving a present while the scrambles for sweets provided much amusement. The animal picnic of the employees of Bycroft, Ltd., was held on Saturday at Sicatara Bay, Waiheke. About 500 went down 'by the p-S. Eagle, and a most enjoyable programme of Sport 3 was gone tarongn. A hearty vote of thanks was ac--corded the directors, and the joint managers for the excellent outing provided.
