JOHANNESBURG, February '17.; Crowds mobbed Mr. Keir Hardie, M.P., pjiairman of the Independent I/abour party of Great Britain, on his arriving a t Johannesburg station. Mr. Hardie •jras: pelted with eggs, tomatoes, and gtojies. The police protected him, enabling Mm to escape unhurt from his asjailaats.
