THE CRISIS IN FRANCE.
PARIS, June 29. Tbe Chamber of Deputies has, by 324 to 233, approved of M. Clemenceau's measures to enforce the law in the South, confident that they will be able to effect conciliation.
Meanwhile, the wine-growers, in conference at Argeliers, demanded a reduction of taxes, and resolved to continue the municipal strike and the non-pay-ment of present taxes, " even if the Government sends bayonets." —
The attitude of the wine-growers was intended to influence the Senate, which nevertheless passed the Chamber of Deputies , bill.
