LONDON, June 28. A man named Charles Smith and a woman known as " Chicago May," have been committed for trial on a charge of shooting and laming Eddie Tauerin in London. The parties belong to a notorious gang of Anglo-American thieves. Tauerin lately escaped from DeviPs Island, -where he was undergoing a sen-; tenee of ten years' imprisonment for forgery in France.
