TOWN CLEEK CHABGED. "(By Telegrapn.—press Association.) " WATMATE, Thursday. George Harvey Parsons, late t°wn clerk here, was brought before Major Keddell, SM., to-day, when the hearing oi a charge against him of failing to account for £S3 18/, moneys of the Council, was cpmmeneed. The evidence of ihree witnesses -was heard, when the ;Court adjourned until to-morrow. Other charge 3 are to be heard, in which the accused will be charged with I failing to account for moneys belonging | to the Gas Company and'to the Domain Board. The hearing of the case is ; likely to last till Saturday.
