On the motion of Mr Hanna, seconded by Mreolclongh;it was resolved "That'the County Conner! tie asked to send ' a delegate to act in conjunction with theirs, and recommended that Mr Kenny, the county clerk be appointed/ Mr Black considered that as Mr Poland, M.H.E. for the constituency, was also a member of the County Council, he was ■yrell able to see to the - Council's interests, if he were not, then he could not possibly be at-to represent the people of Ohirieinuri in the Hoose. Mr Hanna moved and it was resolved, "That ■ a committee •be appointed 'to have half a dozen photographs. showiDg the amount of silt which had accumulated on the land adjoining the river, lithographed, and an explanatory note to that effect circulated to the members of the House,. and any other influential -gentlenSes."
