Overcrowding Pigs.—Mr. 'J. ; .'B-Seed pleaded guilty on behalf of D. CE Siie}iing to a charge of ill-treating seven;pigs ' ty overcrowding them in a crate. Cunningham were charged thatonMsJ 6 they consigned to Onehunga, by the railway, one case of gelignite without distinctly marking "dangerous" on theoetside of the case and specifying the p* l * Iculars on the consignment note. Mr PrHl" dergast appeared for the prosecution ana Mr Skelton for the defence. Mr Prenoergast said the Departnaent did not vri|S a heavy penalty inflicted, but', wantw people to receive a warning. Mr SkelwU assured the Bench that the affair through a mistake. The defendants were forwarding agents and were send the case in question with a numWJ of others by rail for an Auckland busing firm.
