UNIVERSITY COLLEGE COUNCIL

REGISTRAR APPOINTED. A special meeting of the University College Council was held at 2 o'clock ths afternoon, when there were presenti: The Hon. Sir G. M. o*Rorke (chairman), Bishop Neligan, Jtr A. M. Myers (Mar ■vor). Bγ. W. McDowell, Rev. Simmonds, Mr L. J. Bagnall (chairman of the Board of Education). G. l<. PeacocJre, W. Colbeck, and Hon. J. A. Tole. The business was the appointment of a Registrar to fill the vacancy eaxised by the retirement of Rev. D. W. Bnnciman. Out of the applications received for the position, the sub-committee of the Council ■submitted the names of ten. Consideration of the candidates' qualifications was tak p " in eommifetee, also the ballot. Upon the Board resuming it was anmounced that the Rev. C. M. Nelson, Ttf.A.j of Cambridge, had been successful, and was duly appointed registrar, on the motion of the registrar.
