POLICE COURT.
THIS DAY. The Drunkards.—William Davies was fined 10/ and costs, or 4S hours' imprisonment. Two first offenders were fined 5/ and costs, in default 24 hours in <»aol. Indecency.—For indecency in Elliottstreet, Joseph Attwell was ordered to be kept in custody until his boat sailed for Newcastle this afternoon. Alleged Sly-grog Selling.—Thomas Webster was charged that on .Tun. 23 he assisted Joseph Coles in the commission of an offence, to wit, the selling by the latter oi beer to Wm. Joseph Doyle, the said -Joseph Coles not being duly licensed to sell liquor. Mr. Hackett secured an adjournment for a week. The By-laws.—For a minor breach of the by-laws, Barron Devoley was fined 2/6 and costs '/-. William Turner, who had left his cart longer than was necessary in Albert-street, was fined £1 and 2/- costs. Prohibited.—A prohibition order for twelve months was made against Joseph P. Nutt by consent.
