CRUISER AGROUND.
Lord Northcote on Board. SYDNEY, June 23. The cruiser Pyramus, with the Gover-nor-General (Lord Northcote) and party aboard, on their return from a visit to the Northern Territory, grounded on Sea Reef, fourteen miles from Flinders Island, near Cooktown, on Sunday morning. The eastern trading steamer Tsinan (2269 tons) came to the assistance of the cruiser, and made two ineffectual attempts to tow her off. A further attempt is to be made on the spring tide to-mor-row. Lord Northcote and party have been transferred to the Tsinan. It is reported that so far the cruiser has cot been damaged.
