Sauttarv Matters.—lt was decided, at the suggestion of the district health officer (Dr. Purdj) to notify the owners of a number of insanitary and dilapidated buildings to put them into repair as soon as possible. A number of other matters in connection with sanitation it was decided to carry through at the earliest opportunity. Abattoir Site.—The Council considered tie sum asked (£2500) for five acres on which the present abattoirs stood, to be excessive, and it was decided £o call for public offers for a suitable site at Parawai, returnable at nest meeting.
