Mighty Atom was quickest on his feet, followed by Waltati, Dogger Bank and Lady Cressy, the rest of tbe big fleM following np. Setting a merry pace, Mighty Atom showed the way across the top stretch. Dogger Bank being next and Waltati most promlDent amongst the others. This was the order as they turned for home, where the field closed up. At the distance. Dogger Bank threw ont a strong challenge, but was unable to make any impression on the leader, who finally won with the greatest of ease by a couple of lengths from Dogger Bank, which horse was a similar distance in front of 'Waitati. Lady Lanta. 42i, Tanglefoot: and IS*, Brigham. Mawhiti and Glasgow were scratched. Fretwork was the first to show up, followed by Mooltan, t3ie pair jnmplng the first fence together, the others, with the exception of Brigham, being in a bunch. Fretwork piloted the field down the hill, followed by Mooltan and Lady Lanta. but the latter fell at the sod wall, opposite the second furlong post. The order at the doable was Fretwork, with Mooltan almost on terms, then came Tanglefoot. No Shot. Silica, and Sammy, with Brigham lasc. Silica fell at the first fence, the order then being still unchanged. At the top of the hill. Fretwork showed by himself, with Mooltan. No Shot, and Tanglefoot next, and Sammy and Brigham following last. Fretwork still had charge when the last jump was reached, and although Mooltan threw out a strong challenge in the run home, he was unable to get up. Fretwork winning by a length.
