Best mixed, up to 27/; good, 24/ to 25/6; Inferior. 22/6 to 23/3' rongh fat, ljd per lb. Bones, £4 15/. Cowtails, 1/s per dozen. Horsehair, 1/3 to 1/7 per lb. Maize Is nominally worth 3/5 ex store. O-als are worth a/2 ex store. Wheat is selling freely at 4/1 ex store. Chaff: Compressed fodder, £5 10/- Australian, £6; Southern. £6 10/. Butter: Milling, 7Jd; farmers - separator prime, Ssd to 81d; good, 7}d to 7Jd. Cheese: The market nas advanced somewhat In the South, and local has increased to 53d, with a further tendency to rise Funens if worth old. Kauri gum: Demand continues good for all grades, the poorer qualities receiving better attention, and soiling at 18/ for W.S and 25/ for W.N, sifted. 35/ for streaky white scraped, and 45/ for ~ood streaky white when well cleaned

On the 21st Inst., at Ohaupo, we held our annual sale of cattle and sheep for turnip stocking. Over 1000 cattle of all eiasses and 2600 sheep and lambs were yarded. A large of buyers attend, ed from Te Pr.ke, Te Kuiti. Matamata, Hikutaia. and all parts of the Waikato aad we report a snecessful sale Steer* of all classes were required, especially grown steers in forward condition, every pen of this class selling readily at the "hammer. Store cows were dull of sale, aud several pens were reserved. Forward steers t'eal'sed from £0 15/ to £7 ;i/ : fresh three-year-old steers, £5 2/6 to £6 4/: three and aha If and four-year-old bullocks, iv low condition, £1 5/ to £4 16/; two and a-half year steers. £3 13/ to £4 10/: two-year-old steers, £3 to £3 7/; 15 and IS month steers £2 S/ to £2 19/: store cows, £1 5/ to £2; fresh cows and heifers, £2 5/ to £2 17/flstrong good calves. 1 1/ to £1 4/; others' 12/6 to 13/. Heavy fat cows, £6 2/6 to £6 15/; fat heifers, £4 10/ to £5 5/; three and four-yar-old bulls, £2 15/ to £4; dairy cows and heifers, near calving, £4 to £5 10' The sheep elicited keen competition, and all sold at the hammer or afterwards, excepting a few pen 6of lambs. Fat and forward wethers realised 16/6 to 19/6- twotooth wethers, 14/9 to 15/6; full-monthed ewes, in lamb, 15/ to 16/2; good woolly lambs. 11/6 to 12/9; shorn lambs, 9/6 to 10/3. We sold privately 100 ewes in lamb at 18/6.
