AMUSEMENTS.

THE OPERA HOUSE. The Opera House was crowded in all parts last night when an excellent vaudeville programme was presented by Fullers entertainers. The entertainment will be repeated every nisrht this week.

ST. MATTHEW'S HALL.

The sacred drama "St. Patrick 1 ' was repeated at St. Matthew's parish hall last night. There was a good attendance, and the piece was well received, applause being frequent.

j The Auckland French Club held an I interesting gathering in St. Paul's schoolroom last night, Mr. Boeufve, French consul, presiding. Among the visitors were Vice-Admiral Sir Wilmot I Fawkes and Lady Fawkes, and Mr. W. j Prickett, Consul-General U.S.A. A capij ta.l farce, "Le Delit de. Chasse," was i first performed, Dr. Bamford, Mr. B. Wallace and Miss Blanche Bouillon effectively taking the roles. After refreshments had been dispensed, a concert programme was rendered, the items, which were greatly enjoyed, bein" as follows:—Andante from Mendelssohn's first trio, Mrs. Macandrew (piano), Miss Edith Whitelaw (violin), and Herr Blitz (violoncello) : duo humoristique, "La Cm quantaine." Miss Phyllis Boult and Mr. B. Wallace (sung in costume); cantabile. from Saint-Saens' "Samson et Delila," and "Onvre tes yeux bleus'-' (Massenet), Mddlc. Boucbe; Gounod's "Serenade." Mrs. Parkes, with viclin obligato played by Mrs. A. M. Myers; '"Tanzonrtta" (d'Ambrosio), played by Miss WhiteliW; "Berceuse" (Squire), played by Herr Blitz; and "Le Voyagcur" (Godard) and "L'oisean s'en vole" (?»lasse) and "Soupir" (Bemberg), sung by Mr. Hamilton Hodg-es. Lady Fawkes was presented by the members with a handsome bouquet .tied with tricolour ribbons, as a mark of pleasure felt by the Club upon her second visit to its gatherings. An exceedingly pleasant gathering concluded with the singing of tbe '"Marseillaise" and the National Anthem." i
