TUAKAU NEWS.
A very snecessfu! social was held in the Tnakau Hall on Friday last. Mr. J Dronigool, hon. secretary, and Messrs. J McGuire and W. Ripley, SLC.'s, worked hard to give all a pleasant evening. Mr. A. H. Tapper provided the music for the dancing Mr. John Collins, nurseryman, of Tuafeau secured two first prizes for his grapes at the winter show.
The inspector of noxious weeds has been making things hum iv this district during the past week. The blackberries are havin* a bad time.
