NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.
A RECORD ATTENDANCE. (By Telcgraplx.—l'ress Association.) CHRISTCIIURCH, this day. Yesterday's attendance at the Exhibition was easily a record. The total number of visitors was 45,348, or 8353 more than at the opening. It was a great sight within the building, every avenue and gangway being crashed with people, and at tknes there was a complete block. The proceedings were- enlivened by the music of a free orchestral j concert. Outside, the grounds pre- ; Rented an animated and pleasing pic- ! ture. The Wonderland division was ; thronged, and it was impossible to ac- ! commodato all the people demanding ad- | mittance to the various shows, but, throughout, the crowd was merry and orderly. Although not free yesterday, the art gallery had a record attendance. All the officers of the Exhibition connider yesterday a wonderful day. The j institution of free concerts was much j appreciated, and further extension of j thn free evenings is hailed with pleasure. J Many Maoris in the pa are suffering | severely with influenza, and some of i them propose returning to Rotorua, the ' climate here being too chilly for them, j WHEN TO VISIT CHRISTCHTECfI THE EXHIBITION PROGRAMME.
