JOHANNESBURG, November 8.

Labour for the mines is the main issue at tlie Transvaal geueval election so far as the towns are concerned.

The Nationalists are demanding the immediate publication of detailed mining labour returns, and the companies reply that the information is confidential and incomplete. They arc wilung to submit it to an official commission of inquiry into the whole question of unskilled labour.
