A meeting of the Onehunga Liberal and Labour . Federation" was held last evening, when there were about 150 members present. Mr. D. A. Sutherland presided. Mr. Sutherland moved that a letter of condolence be sent to the widow and family of the late Mr. Kirkbride. He referred to the many sterling qualities of their late member, and said that, although he differed from them in politics, they all admired 'the manner a which he had represented the district. The motion was carried in silence, the members standing. The question of a candidate to represent the Liberal interest at the forthcoming election wias then diwsußsed, and Messrs. J. T.
